The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Manager to lead our homecare team. This is a pivotal, full-time, permanent role where you will be responsible for the daily operations of our service and ensuring the delivery of exceptional, person-centred care to all our clients.

As a visible and proactive leader, you will maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements, champion our values of dignity and respect, and play a key role in the growth and development of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring safe and effective delivery of care in line with legislative requirements and company policies.

  • Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team of care professionals through effective recruitment, supervision, and ongoing training.

  • Client Relations: Conduct initial assessments for new clients, develop tailored care plans, and act as the main point of contact for clients and their families, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction.

  • Quality and Compliance: Implement and monitor quality management systems, manage complaints and incidents, and ensure the service consistently meets or exceeds national standards.

  • Business Development: Represent the service positively at external meetings and participate in strategic initiatives to support the growth and improvement of the business.

What we're looking for

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Care Manager or Registered Manager within a homecare or domiciliary care setting is essential.

  • Qualifications: A relevant management qualification, such as a SVQ Level 4 in Leadership and Management for Adult Care and SVQ Level 4 in Health & Social Care, or working towards these, is required.

  • Leadership Skills: A natural leader with the ability to inspire a team and provide guidance effectively.

  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to build relationships with social workers, health professionals, HSPC Managers, service users, families, and staff.

  • Adaptability: The resilience to handle challenging situations and a proactive, problem-solving approach to work.

  • Values: A genuine passion for providing high-quality, person-centred care and a strong commitment to non-discriminatory practice.

  • Mobility: A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is required.
